April 2026

Hello friends!

Thank you for your steadiness and love in all seasons. As the end of the school year approaches, I have been reflecting on this verse -

Galatians 6:9 - "Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up."

God has truly done so much this year; I am getting to behold the fruits of a hard, but sweet labor. Through the ups and downs of campus ministry, I have been a recipient of your prayers, encouragement and generosity - and all the updates I am about to give of the "harvest" God has done is your fruit as well. This could not happen without you.

This is a photo of our UTA staff and student leaders! What a fun team to get to work with!

Easter
The most joyous day of the year for us as Jesus followers! Our church celebrated and had a potluck together afterwards!

72 Hours of Prayer
Something I have loved about UTA campus is that the various campus ministries are very united and collaborative. Together with the Christian Campus Center ("Tri-C"), Baptist Student Ministry, Cornerstone, and several others, we set up a tent in the center of campus for 72 hours of prayer. Students volunteered for 1 hour shifts all throughout the day and night and the tent welcomed whoever was walking by to pray.

There were various stations and prompts, guiding students into prayer for the global church, for peace in regions of conflict and war, for their campus, classmates, and professors, and for the local church.

It was so encouraging getting to visit the prayer tent with a student I have been discipling who is just coming to know Jesus this school year. I loved seeing her engage with God through prayer.

Living Life Together

Precious, a student I lead a small group with, came over to spend time with Kazayet and Max!

Getting breakfast and playing cards with Abisha! After her baptism about a month ago, it is neat to hear how she is continuing to grow with God!

Going on a walk with Melanie, one of our student leaders! It is her first year leading her peers in a small group and one-on-one Bible studies so I loved hearing her reflections on what God has been teaching her.

Friday morning run club! We always have the most meaningful conversations while we run (in between huffing and puffing!)

Our small group went to the Dallas Farmers Market together!

Precious and I have been giving the girls in our small group the opportunity to lead group for the night, aiming to empower them and give them reps thinking pastorally. Emily and Brooklyn led one evening and insisted on making dinner as well! Proud of these students!

April Testimony

Thank you for reading! Please pray for our students and pastors as the school year comes to a close and the transition into summer begins. Let me know how I can be praying for you as well!
