January 2026 - Winter Retreat!

Hello everyone!

For those facing the winter weather, I hope you are staying warm!

We just had our annual Winter Retreat, a time when all the campuses in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex gather for a time of learning and connecting with each other!

This next generation of young adults are so fired up for the Lord. I wish you could have felt the energy and joy filling the room during worship!

One of my favorite things about our minstry is how diverse it is. We have the opportunity to learn from each other in different worship styles. Through Winter Retreat, we had various worship sets that included praise dancing, lament, and various languages. I loved seeing the entire congregation dance and belt out "Alabaré," an energetic song of praise in Spanish.

At one point, we sang a song that repeated Psalm 4:1 over and over, ""When I call to you, Lord, you answer me." Students who spoke various languages came up and sang that line in their native tongues. The languages that were sung included Hindi, Malayalam, Gujarati, Mandarian, Tagalog, Yoruba, Igbo,  French, Spanish, and Romanian.

Here is a snippet from that worship set:

Our guest speaker Marty Solomon (host of the Bema Podcast) walked us through the book of Genesis. As a Jewish man who loves Jesus, Marty brought these scriptures to life through illuminating the Jewish understanding and God's heart. Though I have heard many sermons on Genesis, I was blown away by how much more there is to learn!

If you'd like to listen or watch these talks, they are available here on Spotify.

Thank you for being part of making Jesus known to this next generation! This is the fruit of your faithful investment and prayers.

Much love,
Veronica
