October 2025 - Fall Retreat & Breakthrough Moments

Hello!!

I am so thankful for the support, prayers, and love of all of you! Thank you for taking the time to read through the updates from this past month!

We hosted Fall Retreat for our college students - 24 hours of connecting with one another & with God away from the busyness and hustle of our day to day lives.

We had 130 students come! Here are some photos of the sweet students who were there:

Me and Precious - she is a first-year nursing student who has committed to leading a small group with me. She is discipling 2 of the young women from our small group and I am blown away at how she carves out time to serve and love these girls, despite the demands of nursing school!

This is Precious and I 's small group - one of the women in this photo had come to our small group for the first time on Wednesday and made the decision to join 48 hours later for Fall Camp on Friday! It is so neat to see how God is opening hearts!

This next generation is on fire for God! And it's not just the ones who grew up in church.

God is seeking out people from all backgrounds and life experiences - from traumatic and chaotic home lives and being in and out of the foster care system, to growing up immersed in another religion, to living in direct rebellion to God with various lifestyle choices, and so much in between.

The kindness of the Lord is calling people in, producing repentance, and bringing forth new life!

I got to baptize my sweet friend Mahagony - one of the students I discipled while at Dallas College!

My friend Sophia came to watch me teach on the topic of "God and Money: Who will be Your Master?" at one of our Thursday Night services! I loved having her vibrant presence there!

I met Samy (on the left) while I was doing ministry at Dallas College. She grew up in a Hindu family, but decided 2 years ago to start following Jesus after being around our FOCUS community and experiencing the love! I got to disciple her and build a sweet friendship. Here at UTA, I met Abisha (on the right), who after the first week of school, decided she was interested in following Jesus. She also grew up in a Hindu household and with some recent Hindu holidays and family gatherings, she has had to navigate how to be around her family and be in those spaces as a Jesus lover. Samy visited UTA and the 2 of them got to meet and talk, since Samy has had to navigate a lot of those complexities herself.

I love the friendships that form within God's kingdom!

I am so thankful to play a small part in these students' journeys - helping them mature and learn as well as deepen their relationship with God. And I can only do it at a full-time capacity because of your financial and prayerful support. Thank you guys!!

Much love,
Veronica

Please enjoy this testimony from one of our UTA students, Sarai. She is also leading a women's small group this year and I couldn't be more proud of how she is thriving and growing!
